Easily one of the most unique, underrated bands in rock history. Clever songwriting delivered with all kinds of attitude, these guys are hard to beat. Buck Dharma is one of the all time great guitarists, possessing the ultimate combination of technical fluidity and out-and-out feel for his instrument and how to blend it into a song.
One of my favorite bands, very underrated.

Interesting what RAW said about Imaginos... Drew my attention to it, and it does sound like a letdown. Otherwise, BOC is a great singles band with a distinctive sound.

"Agents of Fortune" is their album with their greatest song (Don't Fear the Reaper) and if you are OK with albums that have a production that is less than polished then you should like their first 2 albums. I have all of their albums. I did not even bother to listen to most of those that came after "Imaginos", not much of it is worth the time it takes to listen. "Imaginos" is one of the great shames of the music industry, this album had the concept, the songs, the band, the fan base to become a BEA. Unfortunately, too many record company imposed compromises sunk the album. It failed miserably and it is not even a good album as a result. This is an example of a band that was held back in its prime and never allowed to properly shine and hence left in its trail a series of good songs and half decent album but not the BEA they had in them.
