Strong BÖC after what many considered Mirrors to be a down album. Hits right back with the heavy stuff on some all-time band greats, like The Marshall Plan, Divine Wind, and Black Blade. Sags a tiny bit in the middle, but otherwise really good stuff.
Great album, how many people have noticed where they snuck in Deep Purple's 'Smoke On The Water' opening riff?
Coupled with Fire Of Unknown Origion, this, in my opinion, is when BOC were at their peak. The opener is pure BOC class! Some blistering guitar work throughout the album, 'Hungry Boys' being a great example!
A damn fine album! Monsters is a gem of a song!
A typical BOC record. Lots of variety but not as consistently good as some of their best work. But what's not to love about "Black Blade" and "Lips in the Hills?" The bluesy "Divine Wind" was a pretty cool stab at current events taking a shot at Ayatollah Khomeni and the then current hostage crisis with Iran. "If he really thinks we're the devil...Then lets send him to Hell!" Yea...what he said...

A typically dark, fun album from BOC to open the decade. Black Blade is a fine opener and songs like The Marshall Plan and Deadline provide good variety.
