While, MVOTC is the better album, VW's debut has better individual songs

Pretty consistent band, they know what they are doing, and they are doing it really good.
Also the debut has many songs that are extremely nostalgic.
Like someone said on a Youtube comment, Green Day and the Wiggles, yeah, they're really good at it

Did you know that on Saturday and Sundays the band sleep in coffins, and sometimes as a treat the do so on Friday's too.

Vampire Weekend are the definition of Indie. Their first and third albums were both great, and they definitely have a long successful career ahead of them. They sound so different than anyone else.

I have loved everything they have done. First fell in love with Contra and loved it so much checked out their debut which is even better. Then MVOTC came out and I can honestly say they're my favorite band going right now.

Unbelievable the people giving this band absurdly low scores just to bring the overall rating down. People always react against success. They're a good band, I've enjoyed all three albums for sure.

Me and a friend really love them. I remember when we discovered that Ezra Koenig is a jew (we're jews), and that Ya Hey is about god, so cool.
And yes, obviously my band of the half past decade. I like Ezra Koenig's songwritting.

Two base hits and a home run on my scorecard so far. No matter their origin, one of the best bands in an era with no one true musical leader.

Yes! Cracked the top 100! These guys could be one of the most important bands around. Very original as I've said in a previous comment. Only thing is, I want to know when the albums are going to be in the right order. Their debut was great, but can't touch the other two.
To quote mercury on this very site
Vampire Weekend < Contra < Modern Vampires
... and that's the truth!

Contra was so derivative it sounded like Graceland.
