A genius! Maybe the pop music of the rock decades knew four or five geniusses and she was one of them. If any work of pop music brings you emotionally to further to New York Tendaberry, if you ever heard better and deeper cover versions than the ones she recorded on Gonna take a miracle, you can surely disagree with my opinion. But there was something about her, a vulnerability that made people tend to overlook hier unequalled mastery of bringing together Rock, Broadway and most of all: Soul go a new art form close to the classical music of the 19th century in the sense of arrangement but far more emotional.

Incredibly gifted songwriter and vocalist, extremely precocious in her abilities - recorded her debut at just 18! Eli & The Thirteenth Confession is surely one of the greatest albums ever made, stupidly underrated here.

Laura is one of my favourite artists of all time, but also one who tends to be overlooked on many lists. There's lots to like here, even outside her more well-known releases.
