Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 75.9/100, a mean average of 71.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.3/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 19.6.

Not always great or consistent as a solo artist, but from end to end, the criminally underrated White City stands favorably alongside the better Who albums.
A truely great artist; one of the most literate rock musicians ever. That said, his best work can mostly be found in the Who's discography (and on stage).
If anything the Scoop series simply proves what a great band The Who were. Pete wrote some of the most incredible songs in the history of popular music. If allowed to mature solo, as they did on Empty Glass, Pete proves he would have been a star in his own right. With The Who it's about power. Testosterone fueled power. Introspection and searching for the lost note...that's Pete. I'm just glad we get to hear both sides of the compositions. Post The Who (actually post Moon) I can do without. Chinese Eyes and after (actually post Who Are You)? Nah. Amazing how one day you just wake up and the muse is gone (at least in my eyes).
