Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. I find this to be Pete's crowning achievement as a solo artist. Every cut is worthwhile as a stand alone and contributes to the whole as well. About half the cuts are worthy of being bona fide classics. There is definitely some 80s production at the fore, but it doesn't detract from the undeniable quality of this album.
Mr. Townshend's 5th solo effort has it's flashes of brilliance. There are five standout tracks on here and the rest, meh. I feel he could have used a collaborator to help him focus his concept. The production is top notch and it's not a bad effort. Worth a listen.

It has moments, but not enough of them. A case of way too much concept without the songs to match.
