Asia shot out of the box rip roaring with hits - but descended quickly into a cloud of dust. That first album has all you really need from this group.

In a world of new wave, early rap, heavy metal, and Top 40 fluff, Asia rose up with their self-titles debut that blew everything else out of the water. Asia was formed by veteran prog rockers John Wetton (King Crimson, Roxy Music, and Uriah Heep), Steve Howe (Yes), Geoff Downes (Buggles, Yes), and Carl Palmer (ELP, Atomic Rooster, Crazy World of Arthur Brown) and even though the line-up has changed many times, excellence is always to be had. This is truly an infectious band whose music demands attention and just oozes with importance. I love 'em!
