ITCOTCK is my favorite album of all time. I would rate the band a 100/100 probably if it wasn't such a pain in the ass to listen to their albums. I have no problem with buying albums I enjoy and want to support the artist, but not being able to find a sample of a song anywhere makes me not want to support Fripp. If he wasn't such a grumpy old man and allowed streaming I'm sure he would make more money in the long run because then people like me who like an album will buy a physical copy for their collection. Fripp really expects people to pay 30-50 bucks for an album they've never heard before, its ridiculous. (Edited)

I once worked with a guy who had two musical obsessions - King Crimson and Kate Bush (he had that great poster of Kate Bush in the workout gear on his wall... perv.) Anyway, he kept on trying to convince me that they had dozens of fantastic albums. I never got past In the Court of the Crimson King. It's brilliant. It created a whole new genre. I just found the other more work to listen to... whereas their debut rewards me every time.

King Crimson varies so much from album to album that liking or hating one does not allow you to predict how you will feel about the next one.

Monsters of prog rock. Not every album they made is a masterpiece, but all deserve to be listened to. Although that is quite demanding sometimes.

King Crimson pretty much invented prog, I.T.C.C.K. is obviously their best work (and possibly one of the best albums ever) but In The Wake Of Poseidon and Red really aren't that much worse and Islands, Larks & ect., and Discipline are still all worth a listen, I don't know much about their other stuff but it doesn't attract me too much.
