Pink Moon was released just on 50 years ago (25.02.72) and it still resonates today. Surely the mark of a great songwriter.
Really love the 1st two albums. Played them to death when I first heard them about 15 years ago. Never really got into Pink Moon, so was surprised to see it is his highest rated here.

Awesome and influential folk artist.
He's a talented songwriter with a delicate voice. Reminds me of Beck's Sea change.
One of several artists whose tragically underrated status at the time they released their music has led to an overrated status among music buffs today, in order to compensate now that more people have retrospectively discovered him. Having said that, I'm happy for him to be overrated, because his understated but powerful songwriting carries a poignancy few artists have ever been able to replicate. Pink Moon is his best album, but he has many other good songs. His ability to capture understated emotion ranging from melancholy to magical is second only to Cat Stevens, whose album Mona Bone Jakon is the perfect example of such ability.
