End of phase one of their career: feverish, intense, demonic even. It riskily opens with "The Mercy Seat" and, miraculously, the next nine tracks don't disappoint.

Gems and noodlings... A great EP buried in a long album? Or a beautiful, over-the-top, coherent, gospel-flavored suite of songs? As time goes by, I'm more and more inclined to the latter opinion.
