The year's almost done, and I've still got a bucket-load of stuff to get round to listening to. For now though, here's my own spin on this year's top 30-and-a-bit. Sure there's bound to be something I've definitely missed out, so leave me a rec innit (and it better be a good'un or I'll post some dog shit thru yr letterbox). A couple of nice surprises and my usual mix of obscure indie-pop that no-one seems to give a stuff about, as well as a couple of Bandcamp releases thrown in for good measure. Jimmy, January 2016

In a year where I lost my Mum to cancer, there's something tremendously cathartic and reassuring about this record, which in all fairness I was always going to love anyway given my penchant for all things Noah. 'Tropic Of Cancer', though, as been both a sad memento and a huge comfort to me when the whole world wasn't making any sense.
