One of my favorite post-punk albums

These former members of the band Women put out a solid album that almost makes up for the dissolution of their previous band. Glad they changed their name to the less controversial Preoccupations.

Listen up potential bands and why it’s important to get your band name settled

Case in point right here. Viet Cong release killer self titled post punk album that appears in most year end best of lists setting the stage for the major breakthrough the band have been seeking. But wait, that name Viet Cong its a bit on the nose so it has go. Let’s call ourselves Preoccupations instead . Cue Tumble Weeds and all momentum lost to this very day
I absolutely love every second of this noisy post-punk album.

The most defining post-punk album of the 2010s
With more consistency it would be an 85 or perhaps I just need a few more listen. It is a little known, kick ass album. Bunker Buster and Continental Shelf standout. Future classic? Possibly!
Absolutely loved it on the first listen. Not so much afterwards. Still, great music
Supremely beautiful and engaging post-punk. Brilliant craftsmanship.

This album will become a classic with time. In my opinion, Viet cong is the best post-rock album of the decade (2000s).
Great noise rock/math rock sound. One of the best of the year.
