Classical and symphonic
by
dihansse
This is a list of classical and symphonic music. Although I'm fairly familiar with classical music, it doesn't have the same impact on me as rock music except for one classical piece: Beethoven's 9th which absolutely stands out. The rest of this list is more tending towards modern music or has links with rock music(ians).

The real thing. I know a lot of classical music but most of it doesn't have the same appeal to me as rock music. This one is the absolute exception: I absolutely love beethoven's ninth and appreciate every minute of it in different versions. This is is a nice one also because it is linked to the fall of the Berlin wall!

The most orchestral Pink floyd with it's long and winding but thrilling pieces

To me the best marriage ever between classical music and rock music. The many guitar solo's are very well integrated in the orchestral pieces. Really underrated.

Very good classical versions of their best songs

This is for me the best album of Philip Glass, even better than Koyaanisqatsi (which especially works well If heard in combination with the movie).
