An amazing accomplishment. Her second album truly gave a glimpse of what Lauper can do. Her commercial release proved her status with other greats of the past, Diana Ross, Joni Mitchel and Barbara Streisand. The success with the number one singles "True Colors," Change Of Heart," and "What's Going On," are classics.

The Bangles delivered their best on this album. Their debut album got them noted on other markets but this one gave them countless merits. The Prince covered track, "Manic Monday," was GREAT, "Walk Like An Egyptian" and "Walking Down Your Street" kept them on the scene until 1987.

Prince a world wide hit, could do no wrong releasing album after album this decade. The only competition was Michael Jackson. Prince strength as an artist was the unique sound her commercialized with unique melodies. The hits "Kiss," "Mountains," and "Anotherloverholeninyourhead" made him larger than life.
