Since The Cure just announced a new LP is coming in 2019, I thought I would rank their albums up until now just for fun.
I'll come back to this and finish it later.

This one is pretty obvious I suppose. Not only it is The Cure's masterpiece and my favorite album from them, but I consider it my favorite album of all time. The atmosphere of this record is unmatchable by any other Cure's record or any other album at all. It is a culmination of every sound they explored throughout the 80's.
It's an album about obsession and desesperation. From the opening bells of 'Plainsong' up until the last horns from 'Untitled' it keeps you enthralled. It's a masterpiece during every second of it. Some people say it's too long clocking at 71 minutes, but after listening to it so many times I just think it isn't long enough.
Every song in here is amazing, but if I had to choose 3... 'Pictures of You', 'Fascination Street', 'Untitled' [First added to this chart: 07/20/2019]

Faith is one of the lesser known albums from the band that I absolutely adore. When I think of this I think of ghosts, churches and cemeteries at night. It is a record that explores religion, solitude and... faith, from beginning to end. The keyboards in 'Funeral Party' make it one my favorite songs from the band. 'All Cats Are Grey' fills you up with a bleak sense of hopelessness as you imagine yourself being trapped in a cave.
I think 'Doubt' doesn't work too well in context and I usually skip it, but as a cohesive whole, Faith works really really well, always pushing one song into the next one with no effort. The opening and ending songs, as with many Cure albums, are simply gorgeous.
