The dolphins are mimicking the banana from the Velvet's first album. I love Orange Juice.

The Nightingales are one of the greatest post-punk bands around. They continue to make great albums to this day. If you get a chance to see them live, make sure you go.

My vinyl copy has a stained cover and the vinyl crackles, but I still prefer it to the nice and shiny CD version I bought.

I named one of my bands after a song on this album. The Gold Blades were short-lived because John Robb of the Membranes stole our name for his new band. In truth he never knew about us and was gracious enough to apologise when he found out many years later.

This was the Captain's final album. It is brilliant.

The terrible cover hides an amazing album. Some of the greatest Fall songs are on this wonderful album.

Billy McKenzie is one of a select few great musicians to come from Dundee. I love his voice and I love the Associates multi-layered instrumentation
