86.78 More upbeat disposition than the previous decades dystopian sounding albums. The variety of guest vocalists is great giving a varied sound yet still keeping along the same theme overall, (Mark Lanegan my favorite of these). Final few songs ending the album with some fantastic serenity.

82.50 Basically this is a heavy hitting classic metal compilation with such a great range of guest A-list vocalists and musicians. This is by far the best of any of his solo stuff. It also fucks over most of his work on both 'illusion' albums. (I said most, not all) Top notch. 01/24

82.50 Band named after a Nick Cave song. You can hear the influence in the style of some tracks. Classic goth rock. Very consistent right through. Love the vocals, how they lull you into the safety of goth world. How these guys weren't bigger is beyond me. . What a happy discovery this was. 11/24

81.583* Solo album from Foo Fighters drummer. This surprised me greatly. It's really good. Great homage to the 70's as it's got the sound of rock era 'The Sweet' but with the vocals and harmonies similar in places to their glam era days. Add to that a small hint of QOTSA. Did not expect it to be how it is. Very happy. Exceeded all expectations. I like it better than any Foo's album I've heard. 09/25

79.44 Love this album. With every listen you just get more drawn into it in a very transcendent spaced out way. Gets better every time. Slowly becoming one of my favorite Anathema albums

78.545* Fantastic Norwegian metal. First track has pummeling drums which gives an indication that it's going down a bit of a black metal road. This is not the case. From track 2 onward sets the tone of the album. Heavy as fuck but with the rhythms and riffs of classic metal. Top notch metal album. 01/26

78.090* Really good Metal is hard to find these days. Not that often I seem to come across it. Very happy with this. This is definitely the best I've heard from them. Decent pure Metal. You can hear the channeling of Metallica throughout. Proof they deserve their headline status at Metal Festivals. 08/25

76.416* Not often I do this but I bought this completely based on the name of the band, album title and cover. Sometimes you can just tell. Not disappointed at all. Good prog metal. Starts strong, but does tail off in the second half with a lot of songs having a same feel to them. They have quite a similar sound to certain eras of Anathema. 08/25

76.18* Some things don't need to be reinvented and with this they've made a decent straight forward classic sounding Metal album. Enjoyable. Don't know why I'd down played this for so long 06/25
