96.00* Big fan of QOTSA. Heard this once when it first came out and thought it sounded good. At the megastore which sells CD's, 6 months after they're released you can get the newer releases for about half price. Being a cheap cunt I thought I'd wait. Sold out never to be restocked. Took years of looking before I finally found a copy. And it sounded better than I remembered. Hallelujah. 10/10. An album of this caliber is few and far between. Every song a masterpiece in it's own right. The rock, the crooning, the melodies. One of the best albums ever made. 04/25 [First added to this chart: 09/01/2021]

82.428* Great Rockabilly flavored Metal with a touch of Country/Spaghetti Western theme through this. It was the song 'Lonesome Rider' off this that introduced me to Volbeat. Still one of my favorite songs from them. 12/25 [First added to this chart: 09/01/2021]

82.22 Monster Magnet deserve more recognition than they get. They are the ultimate desert metal groove merchants. They're very consistent with the caliber of albums they put out and this one doesn't disappoint. They stick to a formula that works and don't deviate off the beaten path. You'd think that could make them sound stale, but it doesn't at all. Long live the Magnet. 01/24 [First added to this chart: 09/01/2021]

81.81 Has the sound of an early 70's Uriah Heep but with Siouxsie Sioux vocals. Rosalie Cunningham gives it her own take on psych rock. It's great [First added to this chart: 05/31/2023]

79.57* Quite surprised by this. Not what I was expecting. They've headlined Download so theoretically it should be metal. But this album is very flowing rock you'd sway along to but with some heavy flurries thrown in. I really like it. Better than anything they did prior 05/25 [First added to this chart: 02/14/2024]

79.37 I held off on getting this for many years as I was expecting to be disappointed. Turned out to be much better than anticipated. You can hear a lot of the early catalog riffs being recycled into new tunes but that ain't a bad thing. They done well. I find this better than the vast majority of Ozzy's solo albums [First added to this chart: 03/02/2022]

78.84 Interesting thing with Primal Scream is the varied style of each album. Even with this they have a high ratio of good over not so good albums. This is another of their better ones. [First added to this chart: 03/02/2022]

76.111* Around 2010 a new genre was coined for a style that a lot of bands were venturing into, NWOCR (New Wave Of Classic Rock).  Nothing new in sound or style. Just basically newer younger bands that played in the style of legends from the 70's & maybe early 80's. These guys are just that. It's a good album. Just that there's nothing original or new sounding with it.  You can hear the Zeppelin influence.. I guess it's nothing new for older cunts like myself, but a lot of youth are totally oblivious to so many classic bands and the music they put out. Hence good for them 12/25 [First added to this chart: 07/31/2025]

Got this cheap at a record exchange. Had no idea it was a double CD. (For it wasn't) What I got only had the second CD hence I only really have half of this. So my rating it only based on this. Love it. Ambient rock joy. I will one day track myself down a full copy. [First added to this chart: 06/17/2023]

Getting better with each listen. You can hear all the influences (Metallica, Guns n Roses, Stone Temple Pilots). Nothing original in terms of sound but still an alright metal album. [First added to this chart: 12/29/2021]
