A 79/100 for a band that has their top 20 tracks at 85+ is a little bit low, don't you think?
The albums are poorly rated too, I mean, look at the average rating of the songs inside of each album (86, 84, 84, 83, 83), and then look at the album ratings (83, 79, 78, 75, 74). That doesn't make any sense.
I'm beginning to think that people on this website hate Arctic Monkeys...

Did you know that Alex used to have a pet Capuchin, unfortunately it was very poorly behaved and needed a lot of discipline. After a couple of years of smanking his monkey he realised that the animal was beyond habitualising, so it was sent to Svalbard to live with a troop of over errant primates. This is how the band got their name.

First 3 albums are pretty great, especially their debut, but afterwards...,They're pretty mediocre. They have lost their charm and energy and just seem boring and even a bit pretentious.

They have a lot of good songs, but in between... it lacks some sort of punch (like someone below said). Love the first two albums, though (and the rest is not too bad, either).

Their first album was incredible. Songs like Mardy Bum and A Certain Romance blew me away. Favourite Worst Nightmare was a bit worse, but still a great album. Then their next two didn't really impress me, but AM is a return to form. It's a lot different than Whatever People Say I Am and Favourite Worst Nightmare, but it's a good kind of different. Maybe not as good as their first, but definitely noteworthy. I like it. I'm really interested to see what they do next.

I actually believe AM is overrated and the garage rock roots that Arctic Monkeys started from is where they should go back to. Their first two albums were incredible, with Favourite Worst Nightmare being my favorite by a squeak, but they fell off a bit after that and immensely after Humbug. Still good songwriting, but they lack the punch they used to have.

Tremendous indie band. "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not" and "AM" are easily two of the best albums I've heard from the past fifteen years.

A great band of the last 10 years, the hype around them is ridiculous but get past that, they actually do produce great songs and good albums. Suck It And See is underrated among their discography, and Favourite Worst Nightmare being my personal favorite
