Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.9/100, a mean average of 71.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 73.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 18.0.

You never quite know what you're getting with Primal Scream as they go down many different style roads. This album does not disappoint. I rate this as one of their better ones. Opening track '2013' being a killer way to start off. Other top tracks being 'Turn Each Other Inside Out' & 'Relativity'. If you're a fan of the band you'll enjoy this.

Their best album in a decade, mixing all of Primal Scream's strengths together. Underrated.

Interesting fact: MORE LIGHT contains not 1 but 2 tracks with the same title's as GUN CLUB tracks in 'Goodbye Johnny' and 'Walking With The Beast' . The Primal Scream and GC tracks are different songs. (Edited)

Their best album since XTRMNTR, also their best non-electronic album. Usually when they strip away a lot of the electronics they just sound like the Rolling Stones but on this album they bring their unique sound with them.

Primal Scream have made another classic album to join the ranks of Screamadelica and Xtrmntr, demonstrating more intelligence and rock'n'roll spirit on their 10th album than most of today's rockers can manage in a career, More Light is effortlessly cool.
