Not too bad a year. One of the better of the 2000's. Studio albums are all ranked above Compilations, Greatest hits, Soundtracks etc. Only fair in a year list.

89.58 On revisiting this it has shot up in my ratings. I feel this is the album she made that showed she is one of the greatest female vocalists. Great songwriter too. Her voice conveys such emotion whether it be rock or simplistic ballads. This album also has the best duet ever with Thom Yorke. Top notch album. How can you not love her.

87.27 Even with this having 2 or 3 of the best of QOTSA's songs on it, as a whole I rate it about midway within their catalog. It's been a very slow burner for me. This is where they started defining their unique sound. Hoorah for QOTSA.

83.92 Little known gem with a hard rock/metal feel. Fantastic album. Way better than I was ever expecting when I got it. Why it isn't better known is beyond me. It's Henry Rollins for fucks sake. Good cover of Lizzy's 'Are You Ready'.

83.84 This is the 1st Monster Magnet album I bought. On re-visiting it recently I've realized how much I'd down scaled it in my mind. It's fucking great. But then, Monster Magnet albums have always been a very slow burner for me before I get how fucking epic they are

83.75 Always an interesting one this. It's up there on my lists but gradually drops as I deem other albums better. Then every time I pull it out for a listen I remember why I had it so highly rated and it jumps back up the ratings. It's fucking great. It's fucking heavy too.

81.66 I'm surprised they're not way bigger in the metal world as this is a fucking decent album. Good mix of industrial, classic & nu metal blended together in a sharp defined sound of their own. Plus to have Jello Biafra as a guest vocalist gets thumbs up from me. 03/24

80.83 Good old kiwis. This is way better than I was expecting. I thought the only song I would have known would have been the heavy ballad 'Lydia', which was thrashed back in the day. And on hearing it again, my opinion has jumped up. When you haven't heard a song in over 20 years your views can go slightly askew. But I recognized quite a few others on this. Hard Alt rock verging on Pop Metal. They were actually a decent band. 11/24

80.78* My favorite from his resurgence era. This is great. Mainly covers but he's got such a unique killer voice he can totally make any of them his own. Title track's the highlight. Also does a dynamic version of Nick Cave's 'Mercy Seat' 06/25

80.23* Such a steady rhythmic trance rock flow throughout. This gelled with me quicker than any other Dandy's album has. Even keel with no weak spots. Great long distance driving album. Few tracks have a bit of an alt Lou Reed feel about them. Some other killer tunes besides the obvious hit. 06/25
