Not too bad a year. One of the better of the 2000's. Studio albums are all ranked above Compilations, Greatest hits, Soundtracks etc. Only fair in a year list.

87.27 Even with this having 2 or 3 of the best of QOTSA's songs on it, as a whole I rate it about midway within their catalog. It's been a very slow burner for me. This is where they started defining their unique sound. Hoorah for QOTSA.

83.92 Little known gem with a hard rock/metal feel. Fantastic album. Way better than I was ever expecting when I got it. Why it isn't better known is beyond me. It's Henry Rollins for fucks sake. Good cover of Lizzy's 'Are You Ready'.

83.84 This is the 1st Monster Magnet album I bought. On re-visiting it recently I've realized how much I'd down scaled it in my mind. It's fucking great. But then, Monster Magnet albums have always been a very slow burner for me before I get how fucking epic they are

80.78* My favorite from his resurgence era. This is great. Mainly covers but he's got such a unique killer voice he can totally make any of them his own. Title track's the highlight. Also does a dynamic version of Nick Cave's 'Mercy Seat' 06/25

80.23* Such a steady rhythmic trance rock flow throughout. This gelled with me quicker than any other Dandy's album has. Even keel with no weak spots. Great long distance driving album. Few tracks have a bit of an alt Lou Reed feel about them. Some other killer tunes besides the obvious hit. 06/25

80.08* There's a heap of songs on this that are very recognizable. The album that introduced them to the masses. Great originality in sound and style, but quite a few tracks have a very similar format. But on saying that it does have a fine industrial chug throughout. 06/25

79.23* More of a raw garage sound before they became famous and polished. Better tracks in the front half. Still one of their better albums. Amazing songwriting for a 2 piece and considering how minimalistic they make it. 03/25

78.181* Even though it's a different band you can't help but think Tool. 'Judith' is the standout track for me by a country mile and one of my all time favorite songs. Drops off in the back third. 09/25
