My Favorite Prog-Rock Albums

I'm not the type of person that likes to cast music in a genre or that wants to classify a band in a particular style. Music is much more complicated than that. It is not black or white, it is full of nuances and that's what makes its beauty.
The same goes for what one can call 'Prog-Rock'. I won't pretend that I can classify any music as this particular type or not. However, there seems to be some kind of similarity between a lot of bands and albums that I like like Gentle Giant, Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, Caravan, Van Der Graaf Generator and Premiata Forniera Marconi particularly. The complexity of the compositions and absence of a typical form, the high-level of musicianship, the concept in the albums and sometimes the length of those songs or albums. Other bands seem to have had the same kind of approach for at least a few albums, like The Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Rush, Jethro Tull and Klaatu among others. I'd say that even The Who had this kind of approach for a while, while Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath surely used this in a few songs (Stairway To Heaven and War Pigs being the obvious examples). In fact, I think a lot of bands were influenced by this approach in the seventies.
My point is, if you happen to like this kind of music, where the musicianship is at full display and the composition is a little more complex than usual, here is a list of albums I suggest you might like, especially the top-75.
