6 years after they made the pinnacle album of modern pop-punk, TSSF returns with a solid (yet sadly too short) following up that maintains their place as a band that understands what makes the genre so great. Hooky, high energy riffs and brutally honest/clever lyrics. Proper dose mainly focused on rebuilding confidence in yourself and excepting yourself while this one takes feelings off personal loss and how that can effect whatever great personal progress you may have made. Knowing that just because you found a way to help yourself, doesn't mean that everyone does. How do we share the light that we find, how do we let people know there's a reason to keep going. How do we recover after sudden loss. This album beautifully discusses these topics without having to be too blunt. The music speaks,

It got me marching. This actually surprised me a ton despite not diving into any new sounds for Tyler. He's of course not new to being personal and introspective on his records but having an album 100% about exploring himself with no characters, and no fiction, was not what I expected. But I think that made it really easy for Tyler to pull from every section of his bag.

Really strange to listen to since the rollout for this album was over 3 years long and features songs heavily associated with anime. But man if these aren't some of the largest pop tunes ever made. White Noise with the crispest guitar tone ever put to record (and just overall one of the best songs ever), Tattoo with a chorus that Is impossible not to dance to, and a big band inspired feast on Mixed Nuts. Cannot complain too much
