It feels as if Kristin Hersh and her Throwing Muses have been around forever and that’s because it’s true, having first appeared circa 1986 & I’ve been a fan for much of this time. Like an on again off again girlfriend Throwing Muses have always simply been there for me
Fast forward to 2020 and ‘Sun Racket’ has a touch of the Sleater-Kinny’s ‘The Centre Won’t Hold’ about it in so far as a beloved 80’s alternative band release release excellent album late in their career following long hiatus. It’s such a joy both theses bands are still going strong and seemingly at the top of their game
