Which top 10 is your favorite?

I ask the question this way and not which era is your favorite because I'm a little more curious which top 10 you most agree with.

And then of course why? Which one record do you wish wasn't there to make it "perfect", or is it already pretty dang close to it?

(I'll be honest 20% of why I'm doing this is so that I can see all them on one post).

50s cause it doesn't have as much hot garbage as the others, even if the highs are lower for the most part. none of these align with my taste in their respective decades whatsoever, tho

1980s seem to give most justice to the highlights of the era (Doolittle, Queen is Dead, Disintegration, Closer). Thriller belongs there too, even though it's not my cup of tea.

I would say 1950s follow close behind, but there wasn't so much of a choice back then.

I really don't like Top 10 2010s so far, but I hope this is just canon in the making and will be revised.

50s easily. The only record I don't care much about in there is Time Out. The others are good-to-great.

Probably the 1960's though to be fair it is the easiest decade to pin down.
Compare to the 70's which is I think the richest decade for music with scores of artists having a significant recording career. Compiling a representative list is expodentially (spellcheck fail) harder. .

You might want to relax on the pictures next time.

probably none of them tbh. They're all about as mediocre on average as each other.

50s > 10s > 80s > 90s > 00s > 70s > 60s

The 50s top ten is awesome. Even though I haven't heard a couple albums from that era, the albums I have heard blows all the other albums out of the water.

BEA is almost never a good depiction of what music was like at certain times (especially the 2010s one, as it seems to only care what white people are listening to), but it at least seems halfway there with the nineties.

It's a toss-up between the 70s and 90s, both of which I agree with 7/10. I'd drop The Clash from the 70s and Netural Milk Hotel from the 90s.
