50s cause it doesn't have as much hot garbage as the others, even if the highs are lower for the most part. none of these align with my taste in their respective decades whatsoever, tho
1980s seem to give most justice to the highlights of the era (Doolittle, Queen is Dead, Disintegration, Closer). Thriller belongs there too, even though it's not my cup of tea.
I would say 1950s follow close behind, but there wasn't so much of a choice back then.
I really don't like Top 10 2010s so far, but I hope this is just canon in the making and will be revised. _________________ Always shouts out something obscene
Probably the 1960's though to be fair it is the easiest decade to pin down.
Compare to the 70's which is I think the richest decade for music with scores of artists having a significant recording career. Compiling a representative list is expodentially (spellcheck fail) harder. .
The 50s top ten is awesome. Even though I haven't heard a couple albums from that era, the albums I have heard blows all the other albums out of the water. _________________
BEA is almost never a good depiction of what music was like at certain times (especially the 2010s one, as it seems to only care what white people are listening to), but it at least seems halfway there with the nineties.
