"Brilliant album with a strong influence on punk and "Whiskey Woman" in it. "...what the Rolling Stones would have sounded like if they'd sworn their allegiance to the sound and style of Sun Records instead of Chess Records" (Miriam Linna) "...the Groovies' alternate--universe version of Sticky Fi..."  [+]  Reply

"Up tempo garage rock. Short sharp feel good tracks. What you expect from a Hives album. Another one of two tracks like 'Diabolic Scheme' would be good, as the change of pace gives the album a break from just having one speed and makes the tracks that follow it more enjoyable. Great album. I like it."  [+]  Reply

"Interesting album for sure! Some might say underrated? Nothing groundbreaking here but it's interesting indie rock that captures your attention with the details. I imagine some folks can find stuff to hate on here (mainly vocally). I don't usually care for this genre but they threw in enough vari..."  [+]  Reply

"Easy to bash because the movie was a coke-inducted disco nightmare (though its fun for its camp value) but the soundtrack is another story. Both ELO and Olivia were in their prime when this album was made and I personally love both halves of the album."  Reply

"I saw Earth live at the release of 2014's Primitive and Dealy. When they played a song from The Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull (the title track iirc), Dylan Carlson introduced it: "This is a song off our most popular album...though still not a hit. It was also our most popular with the ladie..."  [+]  Reply

"A mixed bag that seems to be an attempt to appeal to both fans of Clapton's blues based stuff and his pop/adult contemporary stuff. It will probably satisfy neither, but the first half at least is listenable enough. Better versions of songs from this album appear on Unplugged and 24 Nights."  Reply

"There isn't anybody in hip-hop (or any other genre, for that matter) who puts words together like Roc Marciano. And the production is surprisingly experimental - I don't remember a hip-hop album on which the drums were less prominent than they are here. Anyone who dismisses Roc Marciano as a Mobb..."  [+]  Reply

"It's a modern NYC vibe. On Joey's previous projects, he tried to emulate Nas' Illmatic jazziness and to some degree he succeeded. This one is like his take on the city vibe itself. It's not jazzy but it is loungey in a weird way"  Reply
