"One of the greatest improvisational jams ever recorded. Just 3 songs, pretty basic rhythms and harmonies that let Eric Dolphy do some of his better moves. The solos are crazy and the comping by Mal Waldron is something to behold. Ed Blackweel is as solid as ever."  Reply

"Well, thankfully it's not a return to the follys of Carnival Of Light or Tarantula. They're still the same band that made those records, but more importantly they're still the same band that made Nowhere or Going Blank Again. To be specific, this is the direction Ride should have taken in 1993, w..."  [+]  Reply

"Exuberant and playful female-led rock music. Not exactly post-punk, or new wave, (though there are some new wave synths), has more in common with mid to late 80's jangle-twee indie. Lots of great songs, though the abrasive guitars and high-pitched vocals get a bit tiresome. 'Too Big For Your Boot..."  [+]  Reply

"Yep, I don't see anything this year beating this album. Beforehand it was Pallbearer's Heartless as my AOTY. This beats that by a margin, the nostalgia is real. I'm finally listening to fantastic stoner rock again, thank you Elder!"  Reply

"The first cassette tape I ever owned. I still love listening to it. The first half is a lot stronger than the back half. David Coverdale started to figure out he could meld his blues based arena rock to the hair metal aesthetic and have a bunch of hits on his hands."  Reply

"A mild disappointment. The lyrics are insightful and well-written as always, but the uninvolving combination of spoken word and the subdued production doesn't add up to a great album."  Reply

"Motor Booty Affair is my favourite Parliament album. It even stands tall above many Funkadelic albums, which are typically my preferred between the dual P-Funk acts. It's the funnest, funniest, grooviest, slickest of the bunch, with every track being killer. Even its cover is awesome. Mr. Wiggles..."  [+]  Reply
