"As much as I love Fish, it's clear that Hogarth's style is more in line with the band's direction. It's a good album, but only a few tracks stood out to me (and one of them isn't even on the original album!)"  Reply

Warning! It’s slow and atmospheric and a bit of a snooze feast in ..."  [+]  Reply

"The songs on i idle by in a more languid mood than many of those already featured in Stephin Merrits oevre, if anything, this adds to rather than detracting from the album, lending it a unique and a much-appreciated appeal. Cool."  Reply

"This is pretty different from the African albums I’ve listened to. It doesn’t sit under the folk and pop umbrellas that tend to dominate. There are African instruments playing alongside European orchestral instruments. It’s a very ambitious (perhaps progressive) album, I even want to call it a co..."  [+]  Reply

"There is a certain listening space for this record where it unendingly delivers. In that regard it is amazing. I like it better than "Within and Without" due to bet..."  [+]  Reply
