"In the 80's, you weren't cool without this album. Stan Ridgeway was different from anyone, and this record was as on the edge as LA New Wave would ever really get."  Reply

"This is where it started. The hyperreal mess that was Future's life after his relationship ended, and the music that perfectly expresses the confusion and sadness he's feeling. And "hyperreal" doesn't mean "very real". It is also the mixtape that showed Future could probably fill a whole album wi..."  [+]  Reply

"For a #1 album (largely due to the mammoth success of Bette Davis Eyes) this album is pretty underrated. Almost nothing measures up to the classic lead track but as a whole you get a very solid album here and Kim has an unmistakable voice."  Reply

"Holy crap! The track MT1 t29r is peak Aphex Twin. It’s a perfect melding of math-melody; a cracking track. So far this is album is a great listen immersed through headphones. First two tracks are the auditory hallucinations experienced by the first cyborg AI to try DMT. The last couple would sit ..."  [+]  Reply

"A delicious concoction of funkadelic madness, and Earthly connection. Cymande's print has been planted firmly onto the sounds of great music since their emergence in the 70s. A timeless sound."  Reply

"Pretty much a mess, with occasional glimmers of better. Would never have guessed had I heard it new that I would be listening to this band as much as anyone for the next 50 years. I own it for completeness, but listen to it as duty once in a long while."  Reply
