"This album is absolutely amazing. I discovered it by accident while searching “Paul McCartney & Michael Jackson” on Apple Music, and the song Michael Jackson from this album came up. I love experimental music and this album is pure madness. I think it deserves a higher ranking though I understand..."  [+]  Reply

"This is it folks!..The one-place stop for all-good James Brown quickness! No other compilation is as good for the price and it's got all the early hits. Everything is great by this artist but when you want brevity this is where to go! Live at the Apollo is his absolute best work but that's just f..."  [+]  Reply

"I used to own this on tape until some little shite burgled my car in a Yorkshire hotel car park many many years ago! I was so happy to come across an excellent condition vinyl in my local vinyl store recently. Brought back many happy memories (prior to losing my entire tape collection in one nigh..."  [+]  Reply

"I realize Beefheart himself wasn't a fan, because of the production, but the album itself is great. The final product is what it is. I prefer it to the exhausting Mirror Man sessions which overcompensated for this release."  Reply

"My rating reflects the 1984 edition, which i was not allowed to add here to BEA, that includes "I'm So Excited" and removes "Nightline". This isn't anything revelatory or cutting edge, just really good disco / pop / r&b."  Reply
