whoa whoa whoa... as of now the vote is 7 to zilch in favor of "Fade". yikes. and to think this Mountain Goats song managed to beat Simz last round. Somehow that math is not adding up for me right now...
anyway, that 7-0 blow out was after I also voted Fade. Faade is just a cool, yes quite wrens-esque - track which I quite like. It hasn't yet gotten its claws in me, and i wouldn't say its super memorable. But that Mountain Goats track just ain't doing anything for me. 20 years ago they were on a roll. that same sound and formula for some reason falls flat in 2022. _________________ -Ryan
7-0 is kinda weird agree. Dark in Here is a better song to me and gets my vote, but it hardly matters it seems. _________________ Finally updated the overall chart
Aeon Station - Fade
The track that knocked my bet out of the tournament!
The first solo album (if you believe) - any debut is not for criticism.
I listened to the album, it added to the vocal resemblance to Arcade Fire.
However, one first argument would be enough to win here.))
The Mountain Goats - Dark In Here
I can't say that I am a fan of this genre.
But there are performers known to me who, in my opinion, play something similar.
The Leisure Society, The Wave Pictures (The Surfing Magazines) are the names I can think of.
Sometimes I find tracks for my popularity lists in this camp too.
The Mountain Goats - in this formation, they were not so noticeable so far.
