Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 9% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.1/100, a mean average of 74.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.2/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.3.

This feels like it is quite an under appreciated album. The songs are edgy and fun and really engaged me. The first six tracks hardly have a dull moment due to the depth of the music that you can enjoy. This makes the first part fly by and so for an album that is quite long it does not drag as much as you would think it would. The record feels very compact and consistent as well and I do think that is mainly down to the production which is very strong. There are so many fantastic songs on here as well that are just waiting to be explored and moments that deserve to be listened to. However, the music can feel slow at times and I do believe there is a few parts you could cut out which don't really add anything to the music. There are a few songs that don't hit the same as the great tracks but are still pretty decent. Unfortunately, it does feel a little empty and bare sometimes but that can also add to the raw nature of the music which makes it more accessible to us. Overall, while it isn't their best album it is still very solid and deserves a listen.
Their work is so unique brilliant. From album to album, they have such an exceptional sonic trajectory, this one they get more synth and pensive. Can't wait for its follow-up this Winter.
Good album
This is my favorite album from this "supergroup" which melds the best qualities of its key members superbly epitomizing the best of "indie rock". Some tracks like "forced to love" approach the audacious size of arena rock. Boasting about 40 members, you'd never know it by the sleekly refined rock jams BSS effortlessly pumps out.
I enjoyed it because it is eclectic but it feels somewhat contained specially from tracks 6-9 still interesting specially considering that I've never heard anything from them before, will have to keep listening them
Ten really good artists have created a mult-layered experience which might be the best album of the year so far. The album is old school which might cause some people to think it boring and turn them off it.
