an interesting idea to start out melodic, devolve into chaos, and then return to the melodic. Luckily, the chaos is the far greater portion, because it is also the best of the two. The little melodic intro and outro seems out of place, forced, and kinda uninspired. The middle two tracks are where he shines though

Radical album. I supposed that it's my fault and not the album's that I don't like, but a good album, in my opinion, can break down any barriers of the listener. The chaotic bits on here are just too much, I know it's not but it sounds like random playing of instruments. This album does have some conventional parts especially on Ghosts V:1 that I enjoyed quite a bit, but I just can't get into this album at all. I'm not demanding 4/4 Verse-Chorus-Verse-Chorus songs, I just need a little bit of structure.

Quite a tricky listen, although not as difficult as brotzmann's "machine gun".

At first hearing, this album put me in some sort of Witch-like, dark mood. But upon hearing it again, one starts to find out how good it is and the mood sort of softens. If you heard it once but didn't like it, it's definitely worth a second try.

Okay, this is one of the harder jazz albums to get into. "Ghosts" (both variations) has a pretty scary combination of catchiness and atonal insanity!
