M.I.A.'s supposed last album is her worst. FYI..this is not her last album. "MATA" is coming...

She kinda sticks with the same sound for a bit too long now. And slowly it starts to sound more and more like basic EDM. A bit disappointed, not too much.
The almost parodic humour on display throughout makes for an uncomfortable juxtaposition with M.I.A mentioning gravely serious political issues like drone strikes for instance , but it's nonetheless an intriguing extension of her multi-dimensional personality. With references and samples from her own previous work, "AIM" makes for a good summation of her career. Plus most of the songs bang.

An aimless, boring mess
Consistently catchy and interesting despite her previous works (except for "Matangi") towering over it. It'll be sad to see M.I.A. leave the world of music, but this is a lovely, headache-inducing parting gift nonetheless; one with chaotic bangers & sharp beats (even if the subtext is lost).
