Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 22% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 73.7/100, a mean average of 73.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 73.7/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.1.

Great album, really enjoyed it. A fairly unique sound, mixing horns, reggae and pop/rock. Down Under is obviously iconic, but I also really liked Who Can It Be Now and People Like To Play With Words. (Edited)
Coming from the land down under, not a bad debut album from the land of plenty. Catchy songs and a few delightful videos. Has a reggae pace and rhythm to it. It's worth a listen but I wouldn't compare to any of my other favorite artist. (Edited)
Strong debut album. Even aside from the hits, the other tracks are really good. The only one I don't really care for is Down By The Sea, but they were more than the one-hit gimmick that the MTV staple "Down Under" might suggest. (Edited)
Think I've had this album from mid-80's and I love their simple, poppy, catchy songs - almost everything is with a smile on your face
Good album, not really a masterpiece, but a joy to listen to.
