Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 14% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.5/100, a mean average of 73.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.4.

Strong debut album. Even aside from the hits, the other tracks are really good. The only one I don't really care for is Down By The Sea, but they were more than the one-hit gimmick that the MTV staple "Down Under" might suggest.
Think I've had this album from mid-80's and I love their simple, poppy, catchy songs - almost everything is with a smile on your face
Good album, not really a masterpiece, but a joy to listen to.
Funny how some claim this album is a "guilty pleasure" I disagree, it's just a legit great album. It's catchy and delightful and the hits are freaking nostalgic. I love it.
Very underrated. This album sounds fantastic, has a great mood, unique and you can listen it many times.
What do you miss from it if you give bad rating?
Lots of fun pop songs, but only two certain tracks stand out. I enjoyed it enough though.
Echo the guilty pleasure, fun, jovial, reggae like rhythms in other comments.
This and Cargo are special listening experiences from my eighties era vinyl selection.
A stunning album no genres, I played this album continuously on my turn table as I finished playing Far cry 3, yes this dose not even compare to Pink Floyd or even David Bowie artists I'm listening to,buy this album used cause it seems un rare and also I can't rate every Damn album high epically if there's Dark side of the moon.
One of my true guilty pleasures and one of my favorite albums. Colin Hay is a fantastic lead singer
Just like the other 80's 'Men' band I like, Men Without Hats, Men At Work are so much more than their best known single. Almost reggae like rhythms and a quality album. Two songs (tracks 6 & 9) away from 9 out of 10.
