A rich discovery.
So varied yet cohesive. The instrumentation perfectly complements her nuanced vocals. Easily one of the Top 5 albums of 2017.

Bold and strong, beautiful and challenging: the music, the lyrics, the singer, and the woman, that is. One of the very best female singer songwriters ever imho. This might be her most varied and masterful work yet. Will challenge for AOTY.

Great album
Without a doubt the best sounding album of 2017 to date. Listen with a good pair of headphones to find an expansive soundstage and clear separation among instruments. So far the songwriting is holding up with the production. This looking to be a highlight of 2017.

Not a ton of time has been spent with this one, but it's a lavish, soulful record. Maybe not immediately compelling, but really good.
Not quite as instantly great as the last two albums but it's certainly growing on me with each listen. She still seems inspired and seems more mature than ever on this LP. Whether it will hit the heights of the previous two records I'll have to wait and see but so far it's another very good Laura Marling LP.
