Anybody remember when Hot Hot Heat was supposed to save music? Well, it's been nearly ten years now and pretty much all they have to show for themselves is Bandages, and that's if you're feeling kind. At best they're a poor man's Modest Mouse doing new wave. At worst it's Talking Heads without the fun, which makes everything just a bunch of gibberish and indie moxie. Massively over-hyped back in the day (and I'm guilty too) but I suppose it's not too hard to stand out when your rivals are OK Go, Louis XIV, and All-American Rejects.
Decent album. "No, Not Now" and "Bandages" are pretty catchy-
