"Not a single weak song on it. Not a single instrument out of place. Not a single production mistake. Not a single line that Tweedy doesn't inflect like if he really cared about his art. It's complex at every level, but it doesn't feel challenging because the music invites you to appreciate it lik..." [+] Reply

"A modern classic. Part Television, and as is often noted, part-Joy Division. Not a bad combination of influences. It's probably less 'important' than Is This It in the history of the early 2000s indie-revival, but in my opinion this is the better album. Darker, more mysterious. Leif Erikson in pa..." [+] Reply

"The Flaming Lips Create one of the greatest Concept Albums by doing something most concept albums wouldnt, not taking themselves too seriously. The music here is certainly more important than the subject, that being said, the music itself hypnotizes and captivates through its playfulness and pure..." [+] Reply

"If I were to spend a summer night somewhere in the desert boozing and watching semi-nakid ladies getting it on with each other, this would be my choice of music to zoom the night away. I don't think it would be even possible to make this kinda music, say, in downtown L.A. At least these desert ra..." [+] Reply

"Currently listening to this album on a rainy day and it fits the mood perfectly. So different from other Beck albums, just his singing voice, acoustic guitar and orchestral arrangements, playing straight forward songs. Highly recommended if you are going through a break up, or even if you are not!" Reply

"This could be just me, but I feel the genius of this album is the way I can project a different meaning onto it each time. It feels like the emotional equivalent of a mirror, when I'm happy its happy, when I'm sad its sad, when I feel isolated its about isolation and so on. I don't think its poss..." [+] Reply

""By the Way" is, undeniably, a stellar album, representing yet another tremendous offering from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It easily equates its predecessor, "Californication", in terms of its accessibility and the consistency with which it displays quality musicianship and meaningful lyrics." Reply

"This is such a great album. It should be number one in 2002 over the great 4 alt/indie albums of that year which I still love, Rush of Blood To the Head, Turn On the Bright Lights, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, and Yankee Foxtrot Hotel. This is so different and so much more and I know why it's..." [+] Reply
