This was rough. A big disappointment from Phoenix and it leans closer to mainstream, bland pop than the unique French disco vibe they had going before this. Hope they go back to what they're best at if they make another album.
I'm a little disappointed.
J-Boy and Fior Di Latte are great, though.

Biggest disappointment in music history ever? I figure that's an overstatement... Maybe you had too high expectations. This is a nice enough pop album from Phoenix, but it's not anything new or different from their previous work. It's just nice...

Sugar and flange boys, sugar and flange.
I wasn't suffering listening to this, but to me this was the biggest disappointment in music history ever.
Nothing groundbreaking, but it is, nonetheless, a refreshing and a well-crafted summer album.
There are many touches of Italy and an overly Mediterranean vibe.
