In music, the notions of good and bad taste seem to have disappeared since the Internet-King has housed everyone in the same boat and there is no real hierarchy to cling to. As such, the discovery of "Bravado", Australian Kirin J Callinan's second album, was a shock. "Bravado" is made up of some of the hottest stadium rock, synth pop syrup and country-tested testosterone EDM. Since when did I laugh so much while listening to a record? For a long time, I really consider this album as one of the most fun of all time. What was mistaken at the beginning for a big joke turns out to be the most alive and overflowing disc heard for a long time, which gives the listener the desire to come back to it constantly. Station, however, to one who will push a little too far the little game of derision...
