Not to be confused with fellow shoegazers Stella Diana or Stellamaris, nor with any of the several dozen bands simply named "Stella," this 26-minute 4-track EP probably isn't what you'd expect from a band from Florida with three women and two men — for one thing, one of the men is the singer, and for another, they take a very-much downtempo doomgaze approach on this record that's about 7 years ahead of its time. (Most people, even people from Florida, didn't seem capable of feeling this gloomy until the Great Recession.) Maybe they'd been listening to too much post-rock, and come to thinkj of it, I Like Trains appeared in 2006... Anyway, it's unfortunate they only released this one thing, since frankly it's better than most of the doomgaze stuff that came along later. Admittedly, the last track, "A Bridge To Nowhere," comes off as somewhat less gloomy than the first three, but c'mon, it's a bridge to nowhere, how positive can it be? And yes, he's right, you commented three times.
