I have so much respect for this album and this band. I'll keep it short. First Things First brings sheds light on depression and suicide. Frontman Matt Smith seems to both express his pain, and address the issue. It's not a feel good album, it's not a sad album. The songs are somehow hopeful, though it's hard to explain why. For those who are more into individual songs rather than albums, just about every song stands out in my opinion. That being said, I'd encourage everyone to give the entire album a listen.
