Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

No artists in common with me, and overall not really the kind of stuff I usually listen to, but I love seeing a chart full of albums that aren't featured elsewhere, and I love it when people genuinely like music just for the sake of it appealing to them no matter what people think.

Very good list but you should listen to some older music, there is a lot to discover!! Maybe try some Nick Lowe or Big Star ;)

Found this list looking at From Indian Lakes who have made two of my favorite albums. I also really like some of these and just recently got into bands on here like Foxing, Moose Blood, and Knuckle Puck. I guess I'll have to check some of these other albums out! Nice list!
