I think I like Part 2 slightly more than Part 1. Once again Stapleton is able to touch all the bases, dabbling in rock from time to time, while also staying loyal to his country roots. He's blossoming into one of my favorite voices in music right now. I'll be spinning this one a lot more.
Standout tracks: Midnight Train to Memphis, A Simple Song, Hard Livin' and Tryin' to Untangle My Mind.

As is usually the case with double albums (or, as here, albums released close together), I would have preferred to see the best songs from each disc put on a single release. I know Stapleton's been writing forever and has a huge catalog to pull from. But given how good the best songs on these two albums are, a single collection would have been insane. As a standalone collection, I think this is the weaker of the two.
Favorite tracks: Simple Song, Nobody's Lonely Tonight, Hard Livin'
