Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 1% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 80.7/100, a mean average of 80.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 81.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.6.

Definetly one of the most interesting progressive albums in a while.
One of the best albuns ever made
Not bad but not great
Absolutely impressive album. Fantastic prog rock effort and every track is a journey with a welcoming and adventurous sound. How on earth did they manage to be so prolific with creating quality music?
Another fantastic modern prog rock effort from an extremely consistent and clever group. The production on this record is brilliant and is a real highlight for me. The whole record feels so smooth and you can really hear everything they are trying to show you. The fusion of multiple genres is amazing as well and is really one of the things this group have mastered. However, in terms of song quality it is a slight dip from a couple of their other releases and I do enjoy the concepts on those other records more as well. Overall, this group create some of the best prog rock in recent years and this album adds to that claim.

Gorgeous progressive effort that builds upon the band's interesting narrative perfectly. The Fourth Colour is one of the band's best closing tracks.

Great Album! My favourite songs are Crumbling Castle, Inner cell, Loyalty and Horology
One of King Gizzard best Album, 2017 indeed. Great musicians.
Their best album yet. Great mix of prog, jazz, and of course, their brand of psychedelia. Some great, abrupt turns and great grooves throughout. And of course, they get into that classic I'm In Your Mind Fuzz medley groove that was so prevalent throughout Nonagon Infinity and Murder of the Universe. There probably is a connection between all of these albums (Gizzverse?) as pretty much all of their albums are so intricately thought out (the majority of which qualify as concept albums) but I haven't quite delved THAT deep... These guys are the best thing to happen to modern rock in a LONG time.
EXTREMELY UNDER RATED. Easily the best album of 2017 and one of the best albums of the 2010s so far
