Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 7% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.6/100, a mean average of 75.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 10.8.

Definitely worth repeated listening. The album doesn't flow song to song as we've become accustomed to with KGATLW. Really tho, there are some fantastic tracks left off of LPs!
It's flows far worse than most KGATLW albums and its worse off for it. Not a fan of this one and it blatantly shows that it's just a composite of things that were cut from other albums (sometimes for good reason).
Has King Crimson + Fleece vibe, but funkier. However it is still mellow like you are lying under the palm covered in silk, enjoying your coconut and watching the sunset. Then suddenly you wake up stoned in your basement! Moment later, next song starts and you're back on the beach. Haven't ever listened to such a perfectly incoherent album. Work of art.
Very solid album with some great tracks. Favorites here are Muddy Water, Down the Sink, and The Wheel (the latter earned some extra points for ending in a locked groove).
Most songs are great, specially the first one, but there are 2 or 3 that break a little the album in my opinion. Huge album still, I'd say King Gizzard's year is even better than Brockhampton's.
One of Gizzard albums is definitely album of the year, but I'm not sure which one. They're all excellent
Yes, this is may be a leftovers compilation from the past 4 albums. Yes, this album feels incoherent. But oh man, they saved some of their best material for the last one. This is the first one in a long time to not really have an album theme, but then again, as a collection of songs, it's really really good. I was afraid we were getting underworked songs, but this is good material alright. I think I'm liking it more than I should. Many are going to say it feels like an Oddments 2, but I think it is one of their very best. Maybe when I hear it again I'll change my mind. It's incoherent and it doesn't have that "flow" quality of their other albums, but I think it's very consistent.
