Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 66.0/100, a mean average of 63.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 65.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.5.

Melancólica como diz o título, uma estrela cadente.
Accessible songs, the sound is too wet.
I guess if you don't like the old weekend it sucks but I appreciate whatever this guy puts his name on. The best modern artist..

A step in the right direction moving away from what Starboy was. Sounds like the older Weekend that people fell in love with, but with better production and songwriting(?). Still an overall pretty average release. Nothing people will be talking about a year from now.
Fav track: Privilege
Liked this more than I expected to, handful of pretty good songs. Abel has a likeable voice.
A surprise ep from pop superstar The Weeknd. And to be honest, I really enjoy this. Feels like an extension of Starboy while there are some interesting production choices. As well as his vocals feel somewhat relate-able and have a sense of honesty to them. Now it is not perfect, but it was an engaging surprise.
Nothing all that creative or special here. This project is short enough that it doesn't drag, and The Weeknd is able to sustain his moody brand of alt-R&B over the brief run-time.
Some nice melodies and textures allow for pleasant enough listen, but I probably won't be coming back for more.

Another lazy release by The Weeknd, its just rinse and repeat for him at this point. Boring and monotone vocals over some decent hazy and nocturnal production. It's essentially just background music, no reason to ever listen to it.
