OK, so it's not a massive chart (yet), but I've enjoyed these albums as much as any ever, they're an embarrassment of riches, and I'm glad great records are still being made and from diverse and unexpected quarters, like Idles - didn't expect something so life affirming to come from my own country at the moment or for a major African artist to pay tribute to one of my favourite albums which was in turn influenced by African music! Kamazi and Kanye slayed me again, Snail Mail was an unexpected reminder of bands I loved 30 years ago like Throwing Muses, Blake Babies and Drop Nineteens. And another gorgeous Beach House album. Hope to hear more great albums in the future.
