This artist is known by many names. He was born as an indigenous Aboriginal in Northern Australia as Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu. His releases have been credited as "Gurrumul," "Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu," "Dr. G. Yunupingu," "Gurrumul Yunupingu," and other variations. This album was released in 2008, four years prior to his death, on Australian based Skinnyfish Music (Cat#: SFGU080201). The multi instrumentalist was born blind and sings folk/aboriginal music in Yolŋu languages and English. He was the most successful Aboriginal Australian musician at the time of his death. Really gorgeous music. Highly recommended for anyone who likes folk. Its not in english for the majority but it is still a wonderful listening experience
